IN SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM

Think of it as Kindermusik meets Stomp!

Not Just Noise has the refinement and age-appropriate developmental activities that we have come to expect in an early childhood music class, but with the flair and coolness factor of a hip, stage production! Students will be having so much fun that they won’t even realize we are meeting all the National Standards for Music Education!

Since children are hard-wired to seek sensory input, learning must be varied and multi-sensory. Each lesson will incorporate a variety of the following activities: singing, playing percussion instruments (such as buckets, balls, cans, sticks, shakers, and bells), creative movement and dance, listening to recorded or live music, finger play and circle games, learning written music notation and musical terms.

Some of the items and equipment used in lessons will include: silk parachutes, scarves, hoops, pool noodles, mirrors, bottles, balls, acoustic instruments (such as flute, trumpet, trombone, violin, and cello), and live performers.

Classes are 30-45 minutes in length. 8 week sessions are offered 3 times throughout the school year. The sessions are comprehensive and sequential, but do not repeat.
